With waterblasting, there is no airborne dust. All materials being removed are saturated and fall to the bottom of the pool.
There is no abrasive waste (sand) to be cleaned up and disposed of.
The greatest advantage of waterblasting pools is the difference in hydraulic pressure between sand and water. With waterblasting, we are using 20,000 PSI of waterjetting action to remove the surface compared to 150 PSI of air pressure with sandblasting. There is also the difference between in speed of water traveling at 1,500 mph compared to sand at 6.25 mph. Because of the constant pressure, waterjets destroy all inferior surface areas on the pool and insure that whatever new finish is applied, it will remain for a long time.
